Katie Causey

Attorney

Katie Curet Causey currently serves the Baton Rouge market. She graduated summa cum laude from Southeastern Louisiana University in 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in management. In 2010, she earned her law degree from the Paul M. Hebert Law Center at Louisiana State University, where she served as a student mentor and member of the Christian Legal Society and Legal Association of Women.

Prior to joining Fleur de Lis, Katie was employed as a judicial law clerk at the Twenty-First Judicial District Court, staff attorney at the Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal, and deputy disciplinary counsel at the Office of Disciplinary Counsel. During that time, she also instructed college courses focusing on business law at Southeastern Louisiana University and Northshore Technical Community College.

Katie enjoys serving her community and has volunteered with the Child Life Department at Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital, the Reading Friends program at Highland Elementary School, the Dress for Success program, and the Junior League of Baton Rouge. Katie is also a member of Jefferson Baptist Church where she has served as a nursery volunteer and Sunday school teacher.

Katie and her husband, Jared, reside in Baton Rouge with their two young sons, Brooks and Christian. When she is not practicing law, Katie enjoys planning events, organizing her home, and learning how to navigate being completely outnumbered by boys.
